Artifact - Science 10 Moodle Page
Warner School is a world class hockey school that requires extensive travel from the athletes. The travel resulted in many of the athletes missing multiple science classes. To account for the miss class, I created an in depth Moodle page where all missed materials could be accessed. Also, I created online formative and summative assessments so I could track the understanding of the students while away. Artifact - Volleyball Tournament Organization
I organized and took the Sr. Boys and Girls Volleyball teams from Warner to a tournament in Strathmore. In preparation for the tournament I filled out all necessary paperwork, including driving forms and permission from division office. Also, I created a plan that would give the students a good experience and keep them safe. Artifact - Plutonium Activity Lesson Plan
In this activity I translated the specific learning outcome STSK-A2.8 into an engaging and meaningful activity. Artifact - Starburst Activity
I created a practical activity to teach the students about work. This activity not only taught the basics of how to calculate work but required critical thinking skills, provided scaffolding and put the science in a real life context. Artifact - Starburst Activity
The students in my Science 10 class had a variety of learning styles. One student in particular learned very well using manipulatives and pictures. This activity progressively taught students how to rearrange physics equations concretely, symbolically and abstractly. |

Artifact - Plutonium Activity Lesson Plan
This activity was based on the safe transportation of dangerous materials. I created a thought experiment where students had to determine a way to safely transport Plutonium, the most dangerous material on earth. I made it into a game and put it into a real life context.
